Are You Using The 3 Pillars Of Influence In Your Hypnosis Practice

Are You Using The 3 Pillars Of Influence In Your Hypnosis Practice
Do you wish you were more influential?
Be honest with yourself!
Almost EVERYBODY wishes they were more influential.
And they’re frustrated that they aren’t.
So how do we change that? It’s simple.
You must first understand the three pillars of influence – so you can make them stronger.
PILLAR #1: Who You Are
Who are you really?
Do you really care about other people? And do you really have their best interests in mind?
Who you are affects your influence.
Some people naturally have more influence because of their confidence, their posture, their genuine interest in (and affection for) other people.
Influence starts with you – your core personality.
PILLAR #2: What You Do
The second pillar is what you do.
Example: If you are fit and healthy, you will naturally have influence in the areas of diet and exercise.
People will listen to what you have to say about fitness and healthy eating.
Another way of saying this is that you will naturally have influence in any area that you have direct  knowledge or experience.
If you want to be influential about a certain topic, go get knowledge  and experience.
This will instantly make you more influential.
PILLAR #3: What You Say
Last but not least, what you say has an enormous impact on  your influence.
The specific words you choose, your tone, your body language – all of these factor into your influence.
This can be plainly seen if you’ve ever tried influencing a child.
If you yell, “Go make your bed!” or “Why haven’t you made your bed yet?” your child will probably ignore you or resist you.
But if you get down on your child’s level and say, “You are such a good kid, and I appreciate so much when you help out. And right now it would really help me if you made your bed. Would you do that for me?”
Can you feel the difference?
And can you see how you might get better results with the latter approach?
(Of course you could use some heavy duty conversational hypnosis instead, but there’s no need to crack a nut with a sledgehammer)
Now, of all these pillars of influence, the third one is probably the easiest to change.
Integrating new hypnotic language patterns into your daily conversations can raise your influence by multiple factors.
In fact… Why not work on that right now?

[SPECIAL EDITION] 19 Top Hypnosis Training Academy Articles: Powerful Resources To Enhance Your Hypnotherapy, Conversational Hypnosis, Self-Hypnosis & Hypnosis Skills

https://hypnosistrainingacademy.com/top-hypnosis-training-articles/?utm_campaign=linkb&utm_medium=article-to-bp&utm_source=hta-blogspot&utm_term=CT

You may have noticed that the Hypnosis Training Academy is packed with hypnosis resources.

But all of this content has one thing in common when it was mindfully created: to guide, teach and nurture you through your hypnosis training journey and pursuit of mastery.

After all, as Pablo Picasso famously said:

“The meaning of life is to find your gift. The purpose of life is to give it away.”

While Pablo might have coined this quote first, it really is the reason why this blog even exists.

But we admit, with so much content to sink your teeth into, it can be a little daunting knowing where to start.

Which is why we thought it would be a nifty idea to compile a list of our “greatest hypnosis hits” so to speak – minus any one hit wonders, that is.

The articles listed below have been our most popular among our readers in their quest to be a powerful force for good in the world using the power of hypnosis.

To help you navigate through this list, we’ve broken the posts up into 4 categories: ethical conversational hypnosis, hypnotherapy, self-hypnosis and general hypnosis.

What Is Consciousness? 8 Mind-Blowing Videos That Help Explain The Relatively Unexplainable

What Is Consciousness? 8 Mind-Blowing Videos That Help Explain The Relatively Unexplainable

Can you hold consciousness in your hand? Or point to it?

No. But that’s a puzzle in itself. After all, how can something that we all experience be so hard to grasp? So difficult to explain? So mysterious that it resists all attempts to define it, to calculate it, and to measure it?

We know that consciousness is a thing. But what else do we know?

Before we try and answer that in full, one thing that we can’t dispute is its infinite power when it comes to change work.

And that how as a hypnotherapist or hypnotist, your understanding of this power underpins everything you do – as you’re constantly working with people who are in various states of consciousness.

So, What Is Consciousness Then?

Rene Descartes famously wrote, “I think, therefore I am.”

That’s possibly the shortest and most succinct definition for consciousness you’re ever likely to find. But it might surprise you to know that it wasn’t even his idea.

Descartes’ phrase appeared in his 1637 work entitled Discourse on the Method. However, Aristotle said pretty much the same thing almost 2000 years earlier, sometime between 384 – 322 BC:

Whoever said it first, the problem still remains.

It tells us what it is, but not how or why it occurs. We can’t isolate a part of the brain and say that’s where consciousness comes from.

According to Wikipedia, consciousness is:

“The state or quality of awareness… being aware of an external object or something within oneself.”

Stuart Sutherland’s entry for the word “consciousness” in the Macmillan Dictionary of Psychology concludes with the phrase:

“… to be conscious it is only necessary to be aware of the external world.”

That’s a pretty basic and straightforward description. And yet, it isn’t enough to satisfy everyone. Many people think the question “what is consciousness?” is unsolvable. There are two reasons why they think that way, which are:

1. Because we might not have enough brainpower to figure it out
2. Because we’re part of the consciousness we’re trying to define and are unable to maintain an objective perspective on the issue

Keep Reading to know how hypnosis experts at Hypnosis Training Academy explain Consciousness and check out these 8 cool videos at HypnosisTrainingAcademy.com that explain the unexplainable and answer the question that’s puzzled some of the greatest minds in history.

Interview With A Hypnotist: Dr. Ed Tori’s 6 Keys To Greater Influence & How To Inspire Healthy Behavior

Interview With A Hypnotist: Dr. Ed Tori’s 6 Keys To Greater Influence & How To Inspire Healthy Behavior

With great influence comes great responsibility.

And when it comes to influence in hypnosis, two of the most important rapport building tools are conversational hypnosis and hypnotic language patterns.

They allow you, as the hypnotist, to quickly gain your subject’s trust so you’re able to help them overcome any issues and lead more positive lives.

Therefore, given the power of conversational hypnosis and influence, it’s understandable why this month’s master hypnotist - Dr. Ed Tori – was curious to see how these hypnosis tools could be used in a medical setting.

This curiosity, in addition to his strong belief in hypnosis, are the reasons he founded the Influence Center, a facility within his healthcare institution designed to help medical professionals harness the power of conversational hypnosis, influence and persuasion so they can help patients and colleagues.

In this month’s engaging interview with Igor Ledochowski, Dr. Tori shares this journey and reveals the 6 essential rules for anyone who wants to be more influential, in addition to why rapport is a secret tool for increasing healthy behaviors.

He also explains how to make your time more constructive with mind mapping and the secret to keeping your energy levels up so you can pick up new skills no matter how busy you are.

Is Online Therapy As Effective As Face-to Face Hypnotherapy?

Is Online Therapy As Effective As Face-to Face Hypnotherapy?
Where's the first place you turn when you want to find out how to do something?

To build a garage or patch up some brickwork?

Follow a particular recipe?

Check out the job market?

Knit a toy for your niece or nephew?

If you're like many people, you look it up online.

You search for step-by-step instructions, or a comprehensive video on YouTube.

And why do you do that?

Because you can.

Because it's easy.

Because you don't have to leave the house to do it.

Because you can discover what you need to know in just a few minutes.

You don't have to go to the library.

You don't have to register for a course at your local college.

You don't have to worry about wasting time or money doing it the wrong way.

Just enter what you're interested in and wait for the options to come up.

Then sit back, read or watch, and learn.

That's the power of the Internet.

It gives you instant access to information on almost any topic you can imagine.

Which makes it the perfect vehicle for so many things, including online therapy.

Can You Really Practice Hypnotherapy Online?

Online hypnotherapy is not the same as face-to-face hypnotherapy.

That goes without saying.
What you really need to be worried about is: will it work?

For some people, there will always be doubts, such as:

  • Whether or not the things you say, and how you say them, will have the same impact as in a "live" one-to-one situation
  • Whether or not your body language will transfer to your client with equal force and power
  • Whether or not you'll still be able to "go first" and use H+ in a virtual hypnotherapy setting

In short, the answer to all of the above is: as long as you commit to the process, you will absolutely be able to deliver.

Keep reading to dig deeper into the online hypnotherapy. How effective these therapy are, what are the benefits you can get and how it works.. all your questions have been answered by HypnosisTrainingAcademy.

Want To Become A Great Conversational Hypnotist? Here’s Why You Should Play The Role Of Merlin… Not King Arthur

According to Arthurian legend, Merlin was the wise wizard that engineered the birth of Arthur through magic and intrigue.

Once born, Merlin carefully coached and prepared Arthur to take center stage and become the legendary figure that he did.

But without Merlin’s wise teachings and magic – Arthur never would have existed – let alone become king.

What’s this got to do with conversational hypnosis, you might be thinking?

Well, everything.

Because if you want to become a great conversational hypnotist, you need to play the role of Merlin… not Arthur.

Your job is to transform your subjects into becoming the heroes of their own stories… which can only be done if you empower them to take center stage.

Watch the video above to hear Igor explain more on this.

[FREE EBOOK & MP3 AUDIOBOOK] The 7 Most Common Barriers To Building Rapport & The 5-Step Conversation Formula – PLUS: Igor Ledochowski’s Instant Rapport Technique – 2nd Edition

The 7 Most Common Barriers To Building Rapport

Has this ever happened to you?

You meet someone, and after just a few moments… you click. And not just in your usual run of the mill, "I grew up in the same town and like Cornflakes, too" kinda way, either.

It runs much deeper than that. You could talk for hours on end and never get bored. Sharing your thoughts and ideas seems easy and natural. And although you’ve just met this person, you feel an instant bond.

Deep down you know this is the beginning of a long and mutually rewarding friendship.

Why?

You experienced instant rapport. You see yourself mirrored in the other person. You communicate effortlessly and want to spend as much time as possible in each other’s company.

But then, there’s the other side of the coin. Sometimes you meet people and, despite your best efforts, you can’t find any common ground.

The things you enjoy, they don’t. It’s a struggle to make conversation on any level. You feel embarrassed, wishing there was some way you could break through the barrier that’s keeping you from getting to know them.

There is. It’s called Building Rapport.

And not only is rapport building invaluable when it comes to effective communication – your ability to build it will either make or break your hypnosis practice.

Here’s why:

The absence of rapport is telling your subject’s mind that you’re a person that they can’t trust yet.

The problem with this is - without trust, there’s no way to push forward.

Meaning as a hypnotist, it’s your job to make your subject feel safe so you can quickly get down to doing what you do best: using hypnosis to improve their life.

Because when someone feels that their physical safety, social status and their ideas aren’t at risk... then you have most of the ingredients for rapport to flow like a river.

Interested to find out how you can open up these floodgates so rapport flows effortlessly and becomes second nature when you’re working with a subject?

If your response to this question has left you all bright eyed and bushy tailed, then you’re in for a treat.

As we’re about to share our top rapport building secrets to help you further boost your conversational hypnosis practice.
But because rapport is a huge topic, we decided to do something different here and create an eBook so you can read, discover and practice these techniques offline.

Hypnosis In Politics: 5 Hypnotic Language Techniques Used By Politicians To Stir Emotions, Form Perceptions and Gain Influence

Hypnosis In Politics: 5 Hypnotic Language Techniques

Does this sound familiar to you? You’re sitting around talking politics with a friend.

And before you know it, you’re both getting very defensive over your political preferences… and things are getting heated.

Have you ever wondered how politicians manage to evoke such strong emotions in us?

How they get us all fired up as we defend them – even when it’s not always in our best interests?

In this article, you’ll discover how they manage to tap into the raw but ready power of hypnosis for political persuasion.

But before we roll on, let’s take a look at the elephant in the room, okay?

“What elephant?”

The one that’s dividing many people right now.

We know politics is a touchy subject for many people. So we’ve done our best to remain as unbiased as possible.

We’ve got a wide range of views here at the Hypnosis Training Academy. Just as you all do. And we’re respectful of the wide range of perspectives.

At the same time, it’s difficult for anyone not to have an agenda, and we can probably all agree that most politicians do too. (HINT: Knowing this will help you spot their agenda.)

So here’s the skinny. You’re about to embark on a whirlwind tour of hypnosis being used in politics that will open your eyes up to the political persuasion that’s all around us.

Please keep your hands and feet in the vehicle at all times.

(Queue up the clanking sound of a rollercoaster inching its way up the first drop.)

Okay, where were we? Oh yeah, we we’re talking about how politicians have programmed us to defend them, even when it’s not in our best interest.

As you make your way through this article, you’ll come across a secret tactic that politicians like Ronald Reagan “stole” from the Hollywood Insiders playbook.

This tactic, when used correctly, has the power to secretly shape and shift a person’s thoughts in an instant.

NOTE: Milton Erickson was legendary when it came to this technique. Heck, NLP creators Richard Bandler and John Grinder wrote ENTIRE volumes about this technique.

But let’s set the stage for how powerful this technique is before we crack on.

Imagine this. You’re a politician running for office. You’re standing on the debate stage face-to-face, toe-to-toe, with the toughest opponent you’ve ever come across.

You can feel the stage lights beaming on your face. You start to worry that they’re gonna drag you through the mud.

BOOM! You remember, that you’ve got a secret weapon up your sleeve. No amount of mud slingin’ can stack up against it.

So you unleash the hounds with this powerful, effective hypnotic technique. And before you know it, you’re tossed into the center of a media storm.

Continue reading the article here which further reveals 5 hypnotic language techniques used by politicians to stir emotions and gain influence.

[ADVANCED GUIDE] How To Master Hypnotic Regression Therapy – Part II: Proven 12 Step Method To Successfully Dissolve Anxiety, Phobias and Traumas, Plus Bonus Video Training

Master Regression Therapy – 12 Step Method To Successfully Dissolve Anxiety, Phobias and Traumas
Welcome to Part 2 of our comprehensive guide on regression hypnotherapy.

In this article, the 12-step regression method, which is taught worldwide at our hypnosis training seminars, will be broken down step-by-step.

After the technique breakdown, we’ve included a real-life demonstration of master hypnotist Igor Ledochowski doing regression therapy (using this exact method) to remove a woman’s fear of snakes, which had been terrifying her for 30 years.

Then, we’ll show you how to put the same technique into practice again – except this time conversationally – and in just a few minutes, too.

If, however, you’ve landed on this page having bypassed the essential principles and best practices covered in Part 1, we do urge you to take a step back and read the first article in this 2-part series.

Reason being: regression therapy is a very big topic. One where you’re dealing with someone’s (often intense) emotions and the way that person make sense of the world.

Therefore, this 12-step method will only be effective once you have an understanding of the dynamics behind regression therapy, which is covered in Part 1.

If, however you’re ready to proceed…

A FEW FINAL NOTES:

  • In the below example, the client is often referred to as the “adult” and “child.” This is based on the assumption that the memory or emotional trauma you’re trying to dissolve happened in their childhood (so you’re bouncing back and forth between adulthood and childhood), however, of course this may not be always the case.
  • As you work through each of the steps, which can be done very quickly once you become familiar with them, it’s important to continually give praise and encouragement to your client. Tell them they’re doing great, build up their self-confidence, comment on how well they’re handling it, and generally keep boosting their self-belief at every opportunity you get!
And for ease of use when reading this article, the links from each section are below:

[ADVANCED GUIDE] How To Master Hypnotic Regression Therapy – Part I: Essential Principles To Profoundly Transform Your Subject’s Emotional Trauma

How To Master Hypnotic Regression Therapy - Part I

Warning! This 2-part series on regression hypnotherapy contains intermediate to advanced content that will make you a powerful force for good Hypnosis Power in the world.

So if you’re looking to for a comprehensive guide on regression hypnotherapy to enhance your existing hypnosis knowledge, you’ve come to the right place.

For ease of use, this guide is divided into two parts.

Part 1 dives straight into the essential principles and best practices that you need to be aware of before doing any regression work.

And in Part 2 the 12-step regression hypnotherapy method, which is taught by the Hypnosis Training Academy, is broken down, step-by-step.

And to show you how to piece it all together, in Part 2 there is also a bonus training video of master hypnotist Igor Ledochowski performing this powerful regression hypnotherapy method on a woman with a serious snake phobia.

To view the individual sections of Part 1, click on the links below (or continue reading):
And once you’ve gone through the essential principles covered in this article, you can access Part 2 here: [ADVANCED GUIDE] How To Master Hypnotic Regression Therapy – Part II: Proven 12 Step Method To Successfully Dissolve Anxiety, Phobias and Traumas, Plus Bonus Video Training

But first…

Before You Get Started…

Regression is a huge topic.

Given this, it’s impossible to condense all of the relevant information into the space of two articles.

This is why we’ll be focusing on the main underlying principles so you can use this information to enhance your existing knowledge.

Therefore, to understand this article completely and comprehensively, it is recommended that your hypnosis knowledge is of an advanced level.

The other thing you need to keep in mind is this:

Any trauma, phobia or situation where strong emotions exist can be debilitating.

It can make people suffer.

When using hypnotherapy, you’re trying to end that suffering. You’re trying to show people that they don’t need to suffer. That there is another way.

That they’re using their mental landscape in a way that’s causing them to suffer, so if they can change the way that mental landscape operates, they’ll stop the suffering.

Regression therapy for emotional trauma

Sometimes you can achieve that in 5 minutes. But sometimes it can take a lot longer.

The trick is not to get hung up on the steps involved in regression therapy but to focus on what you’re trying to accomplish.

As you’ll discover in Part 2, the 12 steps simply give you the framework to learn the process.

Once you know the process well enough, you can adapt it to fit the person and the situation. Keep reading>>

How To Seamlessly Break Down Someone’s Resistance During Hypnosis With The Non-Awareness Set

breakdown resistance during hypnotherapy
What’s the point of hypnosis?

If you said to help people, you’d be right. That’s the ultimate goal. To be a force for good in the world. No arguments there.

However, there’s a problem. Because, as a hypnotist, you can only help people if you’re able to hypnotize them. While that statement seems a little contradictory, it’s not. And here’s why.

If you want to hypnotize someone, you have to put them into a trance. You have to bypass their conscious critical mind.

You have to make contact with their unconscious mind, because that’s where the power to make change resides. And the only way you can do that is by breaking down their resistance.

That’s a particularly useful skill to have with certain kinds of people – people who think things through too much, or perhaps who’ve never been hypnotized before. Reason being, in these types of cases, you may encounter more resistance, at least during the initial phases.

As a hypnotist, you might already know lots of techniques you can use to break down someone’s resistance.

But, they take time. Ideally you need something that’s fast, reliable, effective and easy to use. Something that fits into the 4-stage hypnosis protocol like a glove.

Something like the Non-Awareness Set.

5 Things You Need To Know About Mastering The Non-Awareness Set

The Non-Awareness Set is a technique created by hypnosis pioneer Dr. Milton Erickson. Check out the points below so you can master it just like the late and great Erickson did:

We’ll take a detailed look at all 4 components that make up the Non-Awareness Set shortly. But first, what’s the point of using it in the first place?

keep reading to why is the non-awareness set so effective when it comes to breaking down resistance in hypnosis? Learn from hypnosis experts about the 4 basic components in the Non-Awareness set, their benefits, the right time to put that into the practice.

Being able to fascinate the people you know and inspire them to do great things.
Or to create your own private world where the usual humdrum monotony of everyday life just didn’t exist.
That’s what you can do with conversational hypnosis.
But that’s only the beginning.
Once you understand the techniques and principles involved, you can take things a considerable distance further.
So that when you walk into a room people’s faces light up with pleasure.
So that when you ask your teenage children to do something they agree without putting up the tiniest bit of resistance.
So that your customers want to do more business with you just because they feel compelled to be in your company.
When you master conversational hypnosis, you’ll become irresistible.
You’ll ooze charm in an effortless manner.
You’ll develop the power to make each and every interaction with other people more powerful, more meaningful, and a lot easier.
You’ll gain the ability to change people by making sure they have more fun whenever they’re around you.

In other words, once you’ve got conversational hypnosis under your belt, you’ll be making the world a better, happier, more interesting and agreeable place to live.

But first, let’s find out what it takes to be able to become a fluent conversational hypnotist.

The 3 Main Ingredients For Conversational Hypnosis

Before you can unleash your talents on the people around you, you need to keep these 3 things in mind:
The 3 essential ingredients for successful conversational hypnosis

The above 3 ingredients will give you everything you need to make life more enjoyable for yourself and for everyone around you.
Let’s break them down to see what each part of the process involves and the individual techniques that fall under each of them.

Part 1: Work On Your Attitude!

1. H+

You’ve probably heard or read about H+.
H+ refers to your ability to connect with other people from the moment the interaction begins.
It’s all about intention, putting aside your own thoughts and opinions so you can get in sync with the person in front of you.
It’s hypnosis plus.
Hypnosis with extra positive energy. Hypnosis geared at doing everything you can to make the other person’s life more enjoyable and fulfilling.
It’s about them; it’s not about you. Here’s a brief story that illustrates the point precisely:

Are You A Boring Hypnotist? How To Transform The Dull Into Edge-Of-Your-Seat Stories During Conversational Hypnosis

Are You A Boring Hypnotist? How To Transform The Dull Into Edge-Of-Your-Seat Stories During Conversational Hypnosis

Imagine, just for a moment, that you are your hypnosis subject.

That you're in a conversation with "you" trying to listen to the story that you're telling.

What words are standing out?

How is the story piquing your interest?

Is your story grasping your attention enough to stop you from thinking about how you wish that you had eaten lunch beforehand, for example?

And how, to make up for missing it, you're going to devour one of those fresh baguette sandwiches from that new French restaurant next to your office.

Wait. You had that yesterday. Maybe you'll treat yourself to the duck...

So, is it working?

Is your story enough to compete with a hungry stomach?

A cold office?

Or any of the other things that creep into someone's mind when a story is lacking that je-ne-sais-quoi.

Or otherwise put, when boredom has crept in - and the listener would prefer to create their own story in their head... rather than listening to yours.

Ouch.

We're all guilty of it.

An unintentional technique to occupy the conscious mind and keep it entertained... when it has decided that it no longer is.

And while this has its advantages when you're stuck without a book on a long train ride, for example, it spells disaster if your hypnosis subjects are doing the same... when in fact you think you're practicing conversational hypnosis.

So, it begs the question, how do you get good at telling stories so you become a fantastic conversational hypnotist?

Fortunately, the answer is easy.

You start by telling stories. And lots of them.

The more stories you tell, the better your storytelling skills will become.

Filled with drama and adventure. Overflowing with emotion.

Packed with personal change.

Believe it or not, even the most mundane story can be turned into a gripping tale.

And that makes storytelling the perfect vehicle for conversational hypnosis.

Turning an everyday event into a riveting experience. Keeping your subject enthralled. Getting past their conscious critical mind and easing them into trance, naturally.

Making your stories, well, hypnotic. Once you know how to do that, you can turn ordinary events that you might otherwise think are boring into spellbinding yarns.

So how do you it? By making sure every story has a number of crucial, basic ingredients...

The 3 Basic Ingredients Every Story Needs

To tell a good story that holds your subject's attention, it needs to include the following:

1. A Sequence Of Events

This is not necessarily the beginning, middle, and end of traditional stories. All it means is that the story has to be a sequence of events.

For example, imagine someone ordering a burger:

"He called, he ordered, he ate."

It's a sequence of events, but it's not a story. It's the basis for a story, which you can expand on.

"He was hungry, so he called, ordered a burger, and ate it."

2. A Break In The Sequence

Breaking up the original sequence of events is a simple way to extend any story. It acts as a trigger to tell the unconscious mind that a story is on the way.

To do it, just extend the time period in which the sequence of events occurs:

"He was working late, trying to get his report finished, but he just couldn't concentrate. He was too hungry. He knew he wouldn't be able to continue until he had something to eat."

3. An Emotional Change

In order for your story to have the right impact, there needs to be an emotional change.

There has to be a shift in emotions that alters one of the story's characters in some way. This shift acts as a signal to your listener that the story has reached a satisfying conclusion.

"He was working late, trying to get his report finished, but he just couldn't concentrate. He was too hungry. He knew he wouldn't be able to continue until he had something to eat.

So he picked up the phone, ordered a burger, and devoured it with pleasure.

Just what he needed.
