Interview With A Hypnotist: Meet Dr. Sara Pugh, The “Bio-Hacking” Neurological Therapist

Meet The Neurological Street Hypnotist & Superhuman

Ever notice how much pressure there is nowadays to always doing more?

To be more?

But the fact is, there are only 24 hours in the day, and when you’re busy with work, kids and other responsibilities – there’s often not enough time to do all the things you’d like.

That said, ever wondered why there are some people who manage to run multiple companies, have a family and even exercise and meditate every day?

It’s easy to just shrug them off as being “ Type- A overachievers,” but there’s often more going on that just raw ambition and drive. The thing that often sets them apart is their ability to put themselves into a top mindset for success.

To dive deeper into this topic, we recently interviewed Dr. Sara Pugh, the founder and creator of The Busy Superhuman – a company that teaches people how to optimize their brains and nervous systems to enhance performance.

What’s fascinating about her approach is that Sara combines her scientific background (she has a Doctorate in Molecular Mechanisms and Biophysics, in addition to degrees in Bioinformatics, Biochemistry and Genetics), with her hypnosis and NLP skills.

As a result of this powerful mix, she’s able to “bio-hack” people’s brains so they can achieve peak performance.

Pretty cool, right?

If you’re interested to discover more, check out this inspiring interview with Dr. Sara Pugh to discover:
  • What goes on in the brain during hypnosis

How To Rewire Your Brain: Neuroscientist Dr. Joe Dispenza Explains

How To Rewire Your Brain And Recondition Your body : Neuroscientist Dr. Joe Dispenza Explains

Dr. Joe Dispenza is a brilliant neuroscientist and author with a knack for demystifying complicated neuroscience.

His goal is to show how anyone can use the latest scientific discoveries in neuroplasticity to “rewire” the brain and recondition the body for lasting change.

You see, the unconscious mind can’t tell the difference between a memory of an event, and the event itself.

So when you replay negative thoughts, feelings and memories, the mind reacts as if the event were really happening...

...your heart rate increases, breathing changes and your body goes into a “fight or flight” response (commonly known as stress).

Not surprisingly, repeated stress leads to major health problems.

But here’s the good news:

The human mind has an incredible capacity to observe our own thoughts and behaviors, which means you can alter your brain structure by integrating new thoughts and behaviors.

Not only that – but you can even change your genetic expression.

It isn’t always easy... especially when it comes to deeply ingrained habits and addictions.

But hypnosis can make it MUCH more likely someone will successfully replace negative thought patterns with positive, healthy new pathways!

Intrigued to find out how?

Head on over to the Hypnosis Training Academy to listen to Dr. Dispenza’s illuminating talk today.

How Hypnosis Is Used For Anxiety And Depression: An Important Guide For Hypnotists PLUS 3 Scientific Studies That Explain Why it Works

How Hypnosis Is Used For Anxiety And Depression: An Important Guide For Hypnotists PLUS 3 Scientific Studies That Explain Why it Works

"How can hypnosis help with anxiety and depression?"

This is a common (and fantastic) question.

Which is why we've done our best to explain the answer as clearly as possible so you're able to do the same with your hypnosis subjects.

Reason being, while a lot of hypnotists know that hypnosis can help with anxiety and depression, they might not always be able to clearly articulate the ins and outs of how hypnosis helps treat mental illnesses such as anxiety and depression.

So this article will equip you with the knowledge to do just that.

How Is Hypnosis Used For Anxiety And Depression And What Does It Have That Most Modern-Day Therapies Lack?

There is one key difference between hypnosis and most modern-day therapies that don't stack up.

Any idea what this is? We'll reveal what it is in a minute.

But first, it's important to explain how hypnosis gives you direct access to the playground of your mind - the unconscious.

This is where your "true identity" lies. Everything and anything that makes up who you are resides in your unconscious.

So the way hypnosis helps you access your mental "playground" is the way it engages your conscious mind.

Or otherwise put, imagine that there was a gatekeeper that kept you from peeking into your unconscious mind's files and databases making sure you didn't meddle too much.

Well hypnosis engages and schmoozes this gatekeeper. And once the gatekeeper is occupied, a hypnotist is able to really examine the underpinnings of your unconscious.

So hypnosis and trance simply open up the doorway. They allow you to fully imagine (often in vivid technicolor detail) how much better life can be. What it would be like to take on completely new behaviors, beliefs and identities.

Given this, the one thing hypnosis has that most modern day therapies lack is the ability to quiet your negative internal conversations.

Have you ever wondered about some positive change you'd like to make, only to have that rational mind of yours pop up and tell you why you can't have it?

That's the negative internal dialogue that most therapies can't seem to sneak around. Hypnosis does an incredible job of sidestepping this.

Another thing that sets hypnosis apart is the ability to restructure cognitive distortions.

Hypnosis allows for the accessing and restructuring (changing the pattern) of conscious, automatic and unconscious cognitive distortions and negative self-schema.

(Psst! In case, you're wondering what the last term refers to - self-schema - it's your long-lasting and stable set of memories that summarizes your beliefs, experiences and generalizations about yourself in specific behavioral domains).

And it just so happens that hypnosis is naturally adept at altering the self-schema.

Your job as the hypnotist is to identify the thought patterns that have been causing your clients harm and then help them re-write these mental stories.

So now that you know more about how hypnosis is used for anxiety and depression, let's take a closer look at the mental health epidemic sweeping across the U.S. (and much of the globe).

How many people have depression anxiety disorders infographic
Research has shown that hypnosis is highly-effective at dealing with anxiety and depression, and what’s more, is that positive results can often be seen in a fraction of the time.

The other benefit with hypnosis is that it’s 100% natural and drug-free – which is also good news given how quick doctors can be to prescribe medication.

Curious to discover more about how hypnosis can be used as a powerful ally in the emotional struggles that haunt depression and anxiety sufferers?

Check out this article to discover why hypnosis works, the techniques you can use to treat it, in addition to 3 scientific studies that back its effectiveness up.

How To Do A Hypnotic Instant Induction That Releases Negative Energy [Igor Ledochowski VIDEO]

The Hypnotic Instant Induction That Releases Negative Energy
Hypnosis may be the bearer of many misconceptions.

But one thing you can’t dispute is how it captures and teases people’s imaginations.
And one technique in particular that never fails to do just that is a hypnotic instant induction.
As let’s face it, even the “non-believers” are in awe at the sight of watching someone be put into a deep trance at the drop of a hat (or for the purpose of this article, a pocket watch).
But the other inspiring thing about instant inductions is the type of change work you can do in a very short time as a hypnotist.
Igor Ledochowski demonstrates how to do a hypnotic instant induction, in addition to giving a very practical and rewarding gift: the ability to release negative energy.

So check it out...

What Hypnosis Feels Like: How To Explain The Somewhat Unexplainable & 3 Powerful Hypnosis Stories

What Hypnosis Feels Like: How To Explain The Somewhat Unexplainable

“What does hypnosis feel like?”

That’s a question hypnotists and hypnotherapists get asked a lot. And naturally, as a hypnotist, you want to give a good answer.
You want to be able to explain the feeling so that it helps them understand it better. You want to provide a reasonable answer that doesn’t just fob them off. Especially because some of the people who ask the question could someday become your subjects.
So what can you tell them?
The truth is that it’s not an easy question to answer for 3 very good reasons:
  1. The experience of hypnosis is different for everyone
  2. For some people, hypnosis might feel different every time
  3. It isn’t a “one-size-fits-all” type of experience
Hmmm. Those 3 points could leave you scratching your head. If it’s different for everyone, how can you possibly tell someone what hypnosis feels like?
The answer is clear: You tell them what it MIGHT feel like. What they might experience. What happens to most people.

Useful Tip: When asked to explain what hypnosis feels like, reel off the 3 points above. Give examples of experiences reported by other people, such as your own subjects or your friends or relatives who’ve undergone hypnosis.

Then, if during hypnosis they don’t experience something, or if their experience is slightly different, at least you’ve prepared them for that eventuality in advance.

Keep Reading to know What Someone Might Expect To Feel During Hypnosis and discover how to explain the somewhat unexplainable with 3 Powerful Hypnosis Stories from Hypnosis Training Academy.

How To Set Up A Practice For Pain Control, Addiction & Dental Hypnosis

How do you know if a hypnotherapy niche is right for you?

Other than actually giving it a try, the most practical alternative is to talk with someone who works in the field.

This way, you get real-world insight to help you determine whether the niche is a good fit and advice on what it will take to succeed.

Which is why given the rising interest in hypnosis for medical and dental applications, this month’s interview features master hypnotist – Scott Sandland.

You may already be familiar with Scott Sandland as the creator of the largest free hypnosis social network, HypnoThoughts.

But perhaps what you didn’t know is that Scott is an expert in pain reduction, addiction treatment and dental applications of hypnosis.

In this month’s interview with Igor Ledochowski, Scott shares the unbelievable story of how he discovered hypnosis.

Hypnosis: What To Expect? The 8-Step Guide On How To Advise First-Time Subjects [Includes Infographic]

Hypnosis: What To Expect? The 8-Step Guide On How To Advise First-Time Subjects [Includes Infographic]

Imagine this scenario...

You're at a party or an event and word gets out that you're a hypnotist.

Suddenly everybody's curious and before you can say, "You're getting sleepy," there's a crowd gathering.

But you soon find out that it's not just idle curiosity. Far from it. Because most people have no idea what hypnosis is or how it works.

So they do what seems logical in this type of situation: They ask lots of questions.

Questions like...

  • What's hypnosis like?
  • Can anyone be hypnotized?
  • What does it feel like to be hypnotized?
  • Exactly what happens during a hypnosis session?

Now, you can't just fob them off. As tedious as it might be to answer these kinds of questions over and over again, it's something you should be willing to do.

After all, you can't be a hypnotist without having subjects to hypnotize. So rather than thinking of it as a chore, think of it as a quick and painless recruitment tool.

Also, remember that for many people...

Their first hypnosis session will be a journey into the unknown.

They'll have no idea what to expect.

Whatever you tell them could be crucial in planting the seeds that will help them decide whether or not to give hypnosis a shot.

So what kinds of things should you say?

Obviously, it makes sense to have some kind of response prepared and memorized that you can reel off so you're not caught off guard.

This might also save you the hassle of having to answer any "hypnosis and chicken" related questions… we hope.

But as mentioned above, this is all part and parcel of being a good hypnotist.

It's your role to help people bypass the limitations surrounding their conscious mind's wall so they can access infinite possibilities.

What Hypnosis Is Not - And What Can Stop It From Working

Hypnosis has a long history of being poorly understood. Whether that's down to a certain amount of quackery or to its portrayal in cinema and the media, it doesn't really matter.

As the hypnotist, your role is to make sure that your potential subjects/clients are not confused by the misinformation.

You can do that by quickly clearing up a few of the more common myths surrounding hypnosis. Read More »

What Is Consciousness? 8 Mind-Blowing Videos That Help Explain The Relatively Unexplainable

What Is Consciousness? 8 Mind-Blowing Videos That Help Explain The Relatively Unexplainable

Can you hold consciousness in your hand? Or point to it?

No. But that’s a puzzle in itself. After all, how can something that we all experience be so hard to grasp? So difficult to explain? So mysterious that it resists all attempts to define it, to calculate it, and to measure it?

We know that consciousness is a thing. But what else do we know?

Before we try and answer that in full, one thing that we can’t dispute is its infinite power when it comes to change work.

And that how as a hypnotherapist or hypnotist, your understanding of this power underpins everything you do – as you’re constantly working with people who are in various states of consciousness.

So, What Is Consciousness Then?

Rene Descartes famously wrote, “I think, therefore I am.”

That’s possibly the shortest and most succinct definition for consciousness you’re ever likely to find. But it might surprise you to know that it wasn’t even his idea.

Descartes’ phrase appeared in his 1637 work entitled Discourse on the Method. However, Aristotle said pretty much the same thing almost 2000 years earlier, sometime between 384 – 322 BC:

Whoever said it first, the problem still remains.

It tells us what it is, but not how or why it occurs. We can’t isolate a part of the brain and say that’s where consciousness comes from.

According to Wikipedia, consciousness is:

“The state or quality of awareness… being aware of an external object or something within oneself.”

Stuart Sutherland’s entry for the word “consciousness” in the Macmillan Dictionary of Psychology concludes with the phrase:

“… to be conscious it is only necessary to be aware of the external world.”

That’s a pretty basic and straightforward description. And yet, it isn’t enough to satisfy everyone. Many people think the question “what is consciousness?” is unsolvable. There are two reasons why they think that way, which are:

1. Because we might not have enough brainpower to figure it out
2. Because we’re part of the consciousness we’re trying to define and are unable to maintain an objective perspective on the issue

Keep Reading to know how hypnosis experts at Hypnosis Training Academy explain Consciousness and check out these 8 cool videos at HypnosisTrainingAcademy.com that explain the unexplainable and answer the question that’s puzzled some of the greatest minds in history.

Want To Become A Great Conversational Hypnotist? Here’s Why You Should Play The Role Of Merlin… Not King Arthur

According to Arthurian legend, Merlin was the wise wizard that engineered the birth of Arthur through magic and intrigue.

Once born, Merlin carefully coached and prepared Arthur to take center stage and become the legendary figure that he did.

But without Merlin’s wise teachings and magic – Arthur never would have existed – let alone become king.

What’s this got to do with conversational hypnosis, you might be thinking?

Well, everything.

Because if you want to become a great conversational hypnotist, you need to play the role of Merlin… not Arthur.

Your job is to transform your subjects into becoming the heroes of their own stories… which can only be done if you empower them to take center stage.

Watch the video above to hear Igor explain more on this.

[HYPNOTIC GUIDE] The Top 10 Hypnosis Trends In 2017 & What They Mean For You As A Hypnotist

[HYPNOTIC GUIDE] The Top 10 Hypnosis Trends In 2017 & What They Mean For You As A Hypnotist

Hypnosis has been around since at least the 1700s. Back then, Franz Mesmer, an Austrian physician, referred to it as “animal magnetism” or “mesmerism.” More than 300 years later, hypnosis has evolved and remains in use today. In fact, its popularity still keeps growing steadily.
But before hypnosis was accepted as a form of therapy it was widely used as a form of entertainment. Gradually it gained attention as a highly effective, non-invasive and respected form of therapy.
Now more than ever hypnosis is a highly relevant practice. That’s why as a hypnotist, it’s important to stay on top of current and emerging trends in hypnosis.
As a rule, hypnosis won’t suddenly switch course because of new trends in the way that, say, technology does.
It’s more likely to have slow-burning issues which eventually expand in popularity and the hypnosis community adapts techniques and strategies to address new needs.
That’s why it’s a good idea to start the year off with some ideas of what to keep an eye out for in 2017. Which is why we’ve put together some of thebiggest changes and trends to get you started.

1.Traditional Treatments Are Evolving

As a therapy, hypnosis is frequently used to help people stop smoking, lose weight and gain confidence. Successful treatment for these problems is how many people have come to understand hypnosis’ incredible potential.
Of course, these issues will still be around in 2017, but a few more “modern” twists on the problems have come to light. In hypnosis, therapy has expanded to include treatments for…

E-cigarettes Or “Vaping”: Kicking The Habit

Recently, in an attempt to stop smoking, people have been turning to ‘vaping’ (electronic ‘cigarettes’) as an alternative. Unfortunately, recent studies from the American Association for the Advancement of Science reported vaping may not be as harmless as originally believed.
The toxicology study took cell samples from the nostrils of three categories of people: those with a history of smoking, a history of vaping, and those who never smoked or vaped.
Next, the activity levels of 594 genes associated with the body’s ability to fight infections within the cells were measured.
Within the group of smokers, 53 of the genes were found to have diminished activity, as was the case in people using e-cigarettes.
Additional studies have found that the liquids and flavorings used in e-cigarettes suppresses the cell function meant to fight infection and has a negative impact on the nasal passages, lungs and bloodstream.
As these findings are becoming public knowledge and people become more aware of the considerable health risks associated with vaping, many e-cigarette users will likely need help to wean themselves off the habit. And as hypnosis is a widely known and respected treatment used to help people quit smoking, it’s likely hypnotists will start seeing more “vaper” subjects.

Weight Loss & The Virtual Gastric Band

When it comes to weight loss, the use of hypnosis has expanded to include weight control as an effective way to help people gain weight or maintain a healthy weight.
Specifically for weight loss, a common technique is the hypno gastric bandwhich continues to gain popularity as a non-invasive alternative to the surgical procedure.
University of Hull is conducting clinical trials to compare the effects of Virtual Gastric Bands with Relaxation Hypnotherapy and following a self-directed diet.
It’s also worth noting, a clinical trial implies that Relaxation Hypnotherapy has become acknowledged as an effective weight loss practice and potentially a better alternative to surgery. This is a huge step forward for the recognition of hypnotherapy by the academic and medical community

Mind Bending Language Revealed: Behind The Scenes Of The “Jedi Mind Trick” of Hypnosis

Mind Bending Language Revealed: Behind The Scenes Of The “Jedi Mind Trick” of Hypnosis

“Are you the droid that I am looking for?”

If you’re a Star Wars fan, you may have had a long desire to ask someone this question.

But in case you’re not, or have forgotten this famous Jedi mind trick, the conversation went like this:

Stormtrooper: “Let me see your identification.”
Obi-Wan Kenobi: “You don’t need to see his identification.”
Stormtrooper: “You don’t need to see his identification.”
Obi-Wan Kenobi: “These aren’t the droids you’re looking for.”
Stormtrooper: “These aren’t the droids we’re looking for.”
Obi-Wan Kenobi: “He can go about his business.”
Stormtrooper: “You can go about your business.”
Obi-Wan Kenobi: “Move along.”
Stormtrooper: “Move along… move along.”

You may be wondering, what this has to do with Mind Bending Language?!?

In short, Mind Bending Language is a little like the Jedi mind trick of hypnosis.

For the hypnotist, it’s a smooth, fast and elegant technique – and allows you to eradicate a subject’s preconceptions and problems very quickly.

Dare we say, it’s one of the “sexier” hypnosis techniques because of the intrigue it stirs, and given its effectiveness – has a way of making hypnotists fall instantly in love with it.

So what makes it so impressive?

The main reason is due to its nonlinearity. Or otherwise put, its unpredictability and unexpected nature.

So when you use it, no one can predict what you’ll say or do next.

Another reason is because of its sheer speed – it’s like a magic bullet.
